Online Payments
Yes you can have more than one payment gateway on your website.
We will organise changing or adding our payment gateway to your site. Our IT department is able to do this free of charge for you. However if you prefer your own web developer to do this for you we can pass on the information to them.
In most cases, your site won’t be down at all! Most shopping carts allow multiple payment gateways to be configured in a modular fashion, which means it can be integrated, tested and made live with no downtime.
When people started to sell goods and services online, many traders consulted their web designers as how to go about doing so. At the same time, PayPal came up with a plan which made them a fortune and cost companies selling online billions. Paypal arranged with web designers a simple connection, where companies trading online paid 2.9% plus 20p per transaction to process the payment. Paypal do not credit check their customers therefore use a high rate to
cover any losses they may have. Why should you have to subsidise Paypal’s losses?
This is FREE – there is no set up cost to add Opayo to your website nor any monthly cost if you use 5G-365.
These rates can vary, depending on the volume of turnover and the number of sales. The maximum rate we at 5G-365 would charge is 1% plus 12p per transaction.
We can provide you with matching rates to your chip and pin contract for your payment gateway plus 12p per transaction. e.g. if paying by debit card is 0.35% on your chip and pin contract then Opayo would match this to be 0.35% plus 12p on your payment gateway when using a debit card. Similarly, if paying by a credit card on chip and pin – the Opayo rate would be the same as this.
Chip and Pin
The overall cost of having a chip and pin machine depends on your business and the card terminal provider. Typically you will pay two main sets of fees. A monthly rental fee for the card terminals and merchant fees for each transaction (which will usually be a %).
If your current company will not release you from your contract please let us know and we may be able to pay out your contract for you.
We will guide and support you through the whole process until everything is set up and you are happy!
You will send us at 5G-365 a copy of your latest chip and pin bill. We will then be able to provide you with a quote for a new contract with ourselves which will be based both on your turnover and number of transactions. Moving forward we will acquire a new Merchant ID number for you and programme your new terminal which will be couriered to you.
We search the market with your specific information to find the bank that has the best rates for you.
